The Drawings Gallery

Before anything else, I drew. Before formal education, before discovering the wonders of photography and digital media, I loved to draw. As a child I was happiest armed with a stack of paper and a pencil. I drew everywhere. I was one of those children who doodled all over their handouts in school.

Accumulation - 2006

Mixed Media on 22"x30" Stonehenge Paper
$100

Created over a series of weeks, the accumulation project was started with no set goal-- it was merely whatever I felt like adding at that particular point in time. Naturally, rats found their way into the canvas amid flowers, colorful swirls, and oddly enough, teeth.

The Pied Piper of Hamilton - 2005

Charcoal on 15"x22" Stonehenge
$80

This drawing takes the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and transports it to my own city of residence. Unfortunately this drawing does not photograph well -- the very white areas are actually dark, shiny black.
