Comments:
I really like the ferplast aviarys, they are easy to clean as the have a pull out base, they are on wheels so can move them around easily. If you don't mind the initial expense, plus the cost of shelves and hammocks as these are bird cages so only comes with perches, then I really recommend them. They are brilliant cages for rats.

Well, I like this cage but I feel it lacks floor space. As some of my rats have got older and less agile, this has become a real issue for me. It limits what you can put in it as well to a degree - as you can see, 1 house and 1 litter tray and the floor's full. When I got the cage, it was the only one that would fit width-wise in the room I had then, so it was perfect (and still is!) for narrow-ish spaces as you gain the space in terms of height. The girls love the height - they often chose to sleep on the top shelf where it was dark because of the roof - I think they felt safe up there. The roof does mean you can't hang hammocks though. It's easy to clean - lovely big doors!

That's Magpie 'perched' at the top of the cage on a leap n' ledge. Jemima (left) and Peggy (right) are on the floor. You can just see Henrietta at the very top and Beatrice is in the hammock.

I replaced the original wooden shelvings by Ferplast shelves you can buy separately.

Comments:
The cage is quite spacey, I have three girls in each compartment (6 in total). the doors are lovely and big and are great for lively sqwurmy girls. I haven't had any escapees from the flaps yet but you may want to watch out for that as I have heard a few people have had problems with the other chin cages. It on wheels so can be wheeled around the house if necessary.
Only grumble is I wish the doors opened sideways or down rather than up. I really love this cage and its 10x better than the Jenny I used to have and the girls seem to like it more.

I love this cage. Firstly it's massive and can fit up to 16 rats when used as one cage. The beauty of this cage is that it can be split in half to form two cages and the bottom can be split in half again to form two smaller cages. This aviary can be one, two or three cages in one!
It's reasonable easy to clean out except because this aviary is bigger than other brios the tray is larger and a little cumbersome to lift alone, but not impossible. There is so much space and height to work with and the bars are narrow enough for kittens. However care must be taken to ensure no rat can fall the full length of the cage. A little expensive but worth every penny!

Its not much but my lil darlings like it. Pretty difficult to spot clean as the doors are awkwardly placed. The current shelf/ramp/hammock layout is the best I've tried so far.

Rats Pictured:
The ratty next to the sleeping box on the shelf (just a bum) is Basil. The others that live with him are called Oly, Vinny and Dillon.

I haven't had it for long so I don't know much about them yet. The tubes that come with it are great fun. Nice quiet water bottle too. My cage came with two plastic feeding bowls that attach to the edge and the two shelves, could do with a third though. It is so much larger than it looks in the picture which is why I propped up a cd box in the bottom left hand corner to give a sense of scale.

Well, I think it's great for the rats - lots of space, easy to create different layouts, a wonderful climbing frame. However, I find access quite hard, and cleaning it not as easy as with the Terenziani Michelangelo that I also have.

Rats Pictured:
Cookie is at the door (hoping to be let out), Coco is on her way down the bars, Fudge is just emerging from the house, and that would be Fizz hiding at the side of the house.

I love this cage. I know a lot of people have a problem with the doors, and ease of cleaning it, but I don't have a problem with it. It's good value for money compared to some other cages and my boys love it.

I think the Jenny cage is really great. I find it easy to clean and wipe down and there is plenty of room for different layouts. The boys really enjoy their cage and I don't find the small door at the front too bad because there is a huge door on the top.

It has a pull out tray, and is on wheels, so it's easy to move - I can move it and I'm on crutches! It's suitable for 13-18 rats max, we have 10 in there and are adding another two, and that's it for us. I love it though, it's easy to clean, no lifting required, just wipe the shelves and clean accessories, slide the tray out, tip it out, wipe it down, fill it up, stick it back in again. It's actually quicker for me to clean than my Superpet 4 storey was.

Excellent cage. I have had a home made and a FOP buddy before and this, for me, is the best of the lot. Easy to clean (about 10 mins tops - depending on if I can coax Button off the bottom level so I can pull it out) and loads of room for accessories. I kept the original wooden shelves that came with it and covered them in Fablon to keep them smell free. They are easy to wipe over now! Very easy to slot together and also to change the way that they doors hang, so that you can make a little drawbridge platform for ratters to walk out on. Room for them to climb, but also lots of room to attach "safety nets" like hammocks and tubs. Thin bar spacing, so ideal for kittens too. I don't use the mesh at the bottom of the cage, so I have velcro-ed the little lifty flap thing so they cannot push their way out!
